Sticky Notes
Winter is here. It lives in the flush of your cheeks as you meet the cold, in the brisk inhale of icy air, and the warm, visible exhale that escapes like a small prayer.
In the holiday season, our minds are often full with sticky notes —reminders of who to see, what to buy, lists of tasks and expectations. But what this season truly calls for is stillness: a deep breath in, a moment to reconnect, time to reflect and be resourced as another year gently comes to an end. Nature shows us the way. The trees go bare, reaching into the earth for strength. The birds fly south in search of warmth. Bees gather into a tight winter cluster to protect their queen.
Everything in nature reveals a perfectly designed season of rest —a time to soften, to slow, to be warmed by your own inner light. And while your mind may still be full of sticky notes, let one reminder rise above the rest: Take time to remember the expanse of your year —the accomplishments, the struggles, the tears, the fears, the worries, and most of all, the beautiful memories you have made.
Wrap yourself in a blanket of remembrance, and you will feel an unspeakable gratitude for the life you have lived.
