2. My Call To Mediumship

My Call To Mediumship (2 of 3)

Wolfs Visit

He remained in the corner of my room, on top of a small stool, underneath a stack of coveted mediumship books. The book, Wolf’s Message would continue to surface to the top, and then conveniently slip to the bottom of the pile. I felt uncomfortable when my eyes would glance over the image on the cover. I had heard parts of Suzanne Giesemann’s mediumship reading with Wolf’s parents that precipitated the writing of the book but I did not feel drawn to it, in fact I felt a slight aversion.

Michael Pasakarnis turned out to be as cunning and clever as a wolf in the wild, Wolf being the name he so rightfully chose for himself before being struck by lightning, which ended his physical life. It is understood that a wolf’s howl in nature is used as a social rally to hunt and protect territory. It is also known that a howl can help a lost wolf find its way and that’s what Michael Pasakarnis did for me. So why was I shuffling this book around and lending it out to friends in favor of other mediumship books? They say the truth is always staring you in the face, but you will only see it when you are ready. He knew I was not certain that mediumship was my path, so he called to me and in no uncertain terms, like a wolf, brought me back to the pack, where I belonged. My meeting with Wolf would happen in the most unlikely place, but all together would be a masterpiece of divine intervention and perfection.

My desire to read Wolf’s Message came right before an Awakened Way workshop with Suzanne Giesemann, on an Alaskan cruise, but it had disappeared. After several attempts to find it, I concluded that I had lent it to my friend. On the first day of the workshop Suzanne introduced Beth and Mike Pasakarnis, Wolf’s parents, and my heart sank. I had no idea that they would be at the workshop. At that moment I desired to meet them and felt regret that I had not read the book, as though it was a prerequisite for connecting with them. My thought ended with, if it’s meant to be, it will be.

One morning, a few days later, I moved across my cabin to sit in a much-needed meditation and two thoughts dropped in; I wish I had Wolf’s Message, then, because it was an unexpected thought, I wonder if Wolf’s spirit is with me now? I dismissed that idea with, out of everybody on the ship, why would he choose me?

Later, at breakfast, I saw my friend and asked if there was room at her table to sit. She wavered but like a puppet on a string, I was drawn to a specific seat, despite her hesitation. Two more people approached the table. It wasn’t until my eyes dropped to Mike and Beth’s attire, bearing wolves with fiery eyes across their shirt, that I realized who they were.

A merriment of banter began, Mike’s eyes beamed, as he answered my rapid line of questioning. A sparkle of silver caught my attention. I looked down to see he was wearing a ring composed of two dolphins. The same symbol I just received and sketched in my meditation journal less than hour ago! I could barely stay composed to let him finish speaking. My eyes fixated on his ring. I asked Mike if I could share something about his ring, he quickly corrected me, saying, “This is not my ring, this is Wolf’s ring”.  A wave of electricity pulsed through me, at the realization that Wolf was indeed visiting with me and that he had orchestrated this meeting.

Through the ring of dolphins Wolf came to deliver a message; and like a wolf, called me to the pack, to Mike, to Beth, to mediumship, where I belonged.
